Author, Coach, and Creator

Meet the Author

I have never thought of myself as a writer or author, but having written a pile of books and having several more in the works, I guess it’s time.

Initially, writing was a way to organize my thoughts and help my students and others interested in learning. I am a learner, and writing is therapeutic for organizing and clarifying my thoughts and ideas. But I’m not interested in learning everything. I tend to push my learning toward things, ideas, and methodologies which are more abstract and unusual—at least as I view them.

For example, when the world was going crazy with craft beer, I was thinking about craft distilling and decided to change careers to do it. That has been my path. I’m not a leader in these ideas. I’ve not forged a new thing. But I’m not afraid to say that I don’t understand something and dive in to learn if the topic is engaging.

That has led me to have a wide variety of skills, knowledge, and a degree of wisdom many don’t have. That is often the basis for the topics I choose to write about. I don’t write looking to get onto the New York Times Bestseller list. I write to give space to information and ideas that are not always mainstream or trendy. From my perspective, most ideas and even the mechanics of things are holistically and inexorably interconnected.

My tone of writing is casual like we are friends having coffee. Yes, some of my writing is salty. All of it is caring and intentional. I want you, the reader, to benefit from what is written as much as I have.

All of my books are available on Amazon, and Kindle, and some are on Audible and Find-a-way Voices. All of them are available anywhere you can buy books.
